Labor Day Weekend Fun

We had a fun Labor Day weekend on Mount Graham near Safford, AZ. John's family has a cabin at Turkey Flat and we always enjoy going up there. The weather was so nice. It rained at night while we slept and then during the day it was nice and cool. The boys spent the day playing hard with their cousins and were wiped out and ready for bed as soon as it was dark. It was then that the fun began for the adults. We stayed up late playing games and had a good time visiting and laughing. On Sunday we drove to the top of the mountain for church. On the way back down we took some fun pictures in the fog and some really pretty ones at a waterfall just off the side of the road. On Sunday afternoon Grandpa Perry held mini Olympics for the kids and all the kids won gold medals. They had contests for situps, pushups, jumping, cake eating, running, and a pinecone toss. Trey won for having the messiest face after the cake eating contest, Kyson was too grumpy to play so I still have his medal that he will get when he recites the third article of faith, and Ridge didn't participate, but would win one for just for being so dang cute. It's always fun to get away for a long weekend and we can't wait for our next outing.

We have a family picture on that same exact rock at Post Creek! I found your blog through Verlynne's.
