If You Don't, I Don't Care, I'll Pull Down Your Underwear!
Thanks to good 'ol Aunt Jodi we heard this chanted around our house for several days leading up to Halloween. I'm just glad the boys didn't recite it at any of the houses where we went trick-or-treating.
The boys were really excited to dress up in their costumes. Ridge was a clown, Kyson was a race car driver, and Trey, as always, was a skeleton. (He has been a skeleton for three years in a row now.) They all loved their costumes and were so excited when it was finally time to put them on to go trick or treating! We went trick or treating around our neighborhood. It's just the perfect size for the little ones to walk around without getting too worn out. Kyson had a bit of a scare at one of the houses that was pretty funny (to me, not him). They kids knocked on the door and patiently awaited yet another handful of candy, but this time they got a bit of a surprise. A man answered the door fully dressed as some kind of goblin carrying an ax and let out a spooky yell. The kids jumped back, and after realizing it was a trick, Trey and Kate started laughing. Kyson however, was petrified, and I mean truly petrified. He could not move. He first let out a yell, but then quickly turned to crying. I called for him to come to me, but he literally could not move. I had to walk up the sidewalk and pick him up and carry him. The poor guy was scared to death! It took him several more houses before he was back in control and when he was he said,"Mom, we're never going back to that house again, right?" I assured him we wouldn't and then he was back on his merry way to trick or treating. It was quite the adventure. The boys made out with a good haul of candy and had a lot of fun with their friends.
I'm not sure how I missed getting solo pictures of Trey and Kyson, but Ridge was sure to get in on the action. He made a cute little clown!
Happy Halloween!

My sister who doesn't have any kids loves to get the kids to do or say something embarrassing. I keep telling her that she isn't going to think its funny when she has kids. I can't wait to be the bad sister. Poor Kyson, Halloween can be really scarey for the little ones. Jared still freaks out. Glad you guys had a great Halloween.
cute photos!! i love the little clown costume!! don't you love it when people teach your kids things. I can now thank my sister amy for teaching eleanor her firs swear word...we'll get them back!
How cute! It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I tried to teach Andrew the Trick or Treat smell my feet... but he kept telling that was not how it went.
Too cute Lisa!!!!
WOW, 3 yrs in a row??? Kason was the same thing two years in a row! Hopefully you didn't have to get a new costume. CUTE pics!
Aww, poor kid. We went to a house that had a guy with a chainsaw on the roof. When Simon saw that he just kept saying,"No, no, no," and shaking his head.
