Summertime Fun!

It's been a wild, crazy, fun-filled summer. Here are a few highlights from all our fun adventures.

Trey turned seven on July 6. He was on top of the world and had his whole day planned out. Meals, swimming, Chuck E. Cheese, shopping, etc. He had a great day!

July 9th found us at the Mesa, AZ temple for the wedding of my brother Spencer and his beautiful bride Jami Flake. They are so in love and we're so happy for them.
The following weekend we traveled up to St. Johns for the wedding reception. We always make a stop in Globe on our way through and during our stop this time the boys got a fun surprise from Grandpa Perry. He is always taking such good care of our boys and took the time to build them this fun tire swing in the shape of a horse. They were so excited and even got to have their own brand painted on the side of their horse.

After the wedding reception John and I came home and the boys got to stay in St. Johns for a few days with Grandpa and Grandma Heap. They had a great time and can't wait to go back again. They played with cousins, went swimming, help Grandpa at the farm, and ate a whole lot of cereal. Life at Grandpa and Grandma's house is always great!
Next up, were the good 'ol pioneer day celebrations in St. Johns. We love being in St. Johns during this time of year. Lots of family and friends always come to town and it's fun to visit and enjoy the cooler weather. Trey wanted to be in the rodeo this year so he signed up for the muttin bustin. He rode like a champ, but as you can see, quickly ended up in the mud.
Kyson enjoyed a little calmer adventure with a ride in the pasture next to my parents house.

After the parade on Saturday, we headed up to Green's Peak for a few days of fun camping. We love the Heap reunion and were bummed we only got to stay a few days. Next year we'll be back to our full week adventure. Even though we only had a few days we still managed to have a great time and enjoyed all our usual fun activities. Four-wheeler rides were a hit this year. We recently bought a new four-wheeler and the boys love that they can ride by themselves. We ran down Green's Peak, rode the zip line, played games, visited, and of course ate really well.

Hours upon hours were spent riding the four-wheeler and somehow this is the only picture I have of any of the boys riding. Oh well, there will be many more four-wheeling adventures to come...

Kyson and Ridge enjoying zip line rides. (Thanks Grandpa Perry for always making it to the Heap reunion and for setting up this fun ride.)

Anyone want to go to Green's Peak?! All loaded up and ready to go!
We always snap a family picture before the great run down. We love being at Green's Peak!
Our summer doesn't end here, but this post does. Today was the boys first day of school and this momma is anxious to pick them up and hear all about their first day. Keep your fingers crossed that it was a good day and that they'll agree to go back tomorrow!
