Way Behind!!

So I'm way behind on this poor blog, but for good reason. Our camera died on us and I hate posting without pictures. Thank goodness Santa brought us a new one so that I can get back to it. We had a fun and eventful end of the year, from Halloween to New Years. Here's a few pics from our good times.

We were in St. Johns for Halloween. John was hunting and my sister Jodi had just had their new little baby girl so it was a perfect time to visit. The boys had a great time with their cousins. They marched in the Halloween parade and loved going trick-or-treating. Thanks to my sister Traci, I have a few pics of the boys that night.
All the Heap cousins (minus the cute newborn, Brynli)
Trey, the the jogger/runner
(don't ask, I'm not sure either)

Kyson, the brave knight

Ridge, the cute clown
Next, on to the end of the MudCat baseball season. It was a great season for the boys. They loved playing baseball and had fun being on the same team. Now it's on to soccer....we'll see how it goes.

Thanksgiving was a little different for us this year. We usually have Thanksgiving with John's family, but those plans were changed a bit with his sister getting married. All the family was together the week prior to Thanksgiving for Syl and Clif's wedding so that was considered Perry Thanksgiving for this year. John had to work the day before and the day after Thanksgiving so we hosted our own little Thanksgiving at our house. My parents, brother Spencer, and Jodi, Jason, and Brynli all came down and celebrated with us. It was fun having them here and getting to host. I enjoy cooking for others and having family around so it made it a lot of fun for me.

In early December, John and I enjoyed a little getaway to Vegas. We met up with my sister Traci and her husband Ty and we all had a great time. We went to the NFR, browsed the expos, finished the Christmas shopping, ate good buffets, slept in, and just enjoyed some down time. Traci and I even learned the games of black jack and roulette. We played a whopping $5 at the blackjack table and realized the luck wasn't with us, but we had a good time watching everyone else lose more than we did.
Then, before we knew it Christmas was here. This year just flew by way too quickly! We enjoyed the season and all the fun that comes with it. We stayed home for Christmas for the first time this year. We enjoyed doing our own thing, but also missed all the fun traditions in St. Johns. We made the rounds to see family on Christmas day and then spent a few days in St. Johns. The boys of course had a great time with all their cousins and John and I enjoyed relaxing and visiting with family and friends. While in St. Johns we took the boys sledding. They loved it!

We had a relaxing New Years here at home. Traci and her family were here for a roping so they rang in the New Year with us. We got a babysitter for the kids and went to dinner, then just came home and played games and waited for 2010 to roll in. At midnight we toasted our plastic champagne glasses and ate our traditional waffles topped with peanut butter, ice cream, and strawberries.
So I believe that catches me up for now. Happy New Year! 2010 is going to be great!

Welcome back to blogging :) Once I get to Utah you have to keep this up so we don't lose track! :) Love that a good halloween costume is a "runner" :)
